Perfect location

My husband and I stayed at Casablanca Cottage in June of 2022. The cottage was perfect for our needs. It was clean and comfortable and just a very short walk from the main street, grocery store, restaurants, etc. A perfect location. The owner of the cottage was pleasant and easy to deal with. We rate the cottage a 5 out of 5.

Amazing house

It was the most amazing house to stay in. Lots of bells and whistles!! When we arrived we entered through Moroccan gates into a spectacular courtyard with outdoor seating for 6. This was not the only outdoor seating as there were 2 other areas located on the other side of the house.The grounds around the house were well manicured and absolutely amazing with spring colours.The house was tastefully decorated and was great for a large group of people because there was so much space but could find a place in the library to go and quietly read a book. Fully stocked with everything you could want. Close contact with the owner made it even better. We will come back to this place in a heartbeat.

FIVE STARS Plus

We had a delightful 3 full months of living at the Casablanca, the best location in Old Town. This place is cozy with a well equipped kitchen, very clean, and has a fun feel with the nice furniture and eclectic vibe. Renting in the winter was a secret treat, it felt like we had all of Old Town to ourselves. This was one of those snow globe hallmark movie experiences with horse and carriage and church bells, and walking to the grocery store and local pub. Don was very attentive and fun to deal with.

Coming back

We have stayed at Casablanca cottage several times and enjoyed ourselves immensely. The owner is very helpful, the cottage is a gem and the location, just a block from the main street is perfect walking distance to restaurants, retail and theatre.

The location is also central to golf, hiking, wineries, lakefront walks and a perfect starting point for exploring nearby towns, art galleries and nature retreats.   If you are looking for a welcoming home with nice architectural touches indoors and outside to make your getaway special this is a great destination!

Wonderful place to stay

Casablanca was a wonderful place to stay for our visit to NOTL! Everything was super clean and house is well equipped!  Location was perfect, walked to restaurants, shopping and lots it site seeing! Recommend this to all!

Loved Marrakech Mansion

Many thanks for the preserves and for having a wonderful property. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It’s a great place with beautiful grounds. We enjoyed a breakfast under the pergola, a drink and cheese board in the Muskoka chairs and a morning coffee in the quiet on the front porch.

Thanks again for providing such an awesome place. It provided such a nice change to pandemic living and our whole group is still buzzing from the whole trip.

Notre séjour a été parfait à tous points de vue. NOTL est vraiment la meilleure place pour découvrir les Chutes du Niagara et la Péninsule.

Le cottage est très confortable, très bien équipé et parfaitement situé. La décoration, en style marocain, est chaleureuse et réalisée avec beaucoup de goût.

15 years and counting

Don, We would like to thank you for 15+ years of comfort and enjoyment at Casablanca Cottage in NOTL. Our same 3 couples come back every year to enjoy the town and local country side, and to find solace at the end of the day in your cottage. It is always well kept, and welcomes us into it’s comfortable confines with its vast front porch where you can sit, enjoy a glass of wine, or two, and watch the world slowly drift by.
It is a very relaxing cottage, with a fully equipped kitchen, two washrooms, a nice dining area and comfortable den and living room. The barbeque on the back patio makes for a great option to “stay in” rather than going out for meals every day. The fireplace in the living room allows you to take the chill off if the evening turn chilly. It is also nice that we can park our cars and never use them again. It is the perfect retreat for the six of us and we hope to keep coming back for years to come.

Happy Labour in Marrakech Mansion

Thank you again for everything. We enjoyed the Marrakech property just as much as the Casablanca. Hope to see you again Labour Day 2022!
If it’s not too much trouble or an inconvenience , would you mind if we kept our truck on your property until 12:30-1pm? We will packed up, checked out and doors locked. Just need to run into town for a couple things. With the trailer it’s a bit difficult to find somewhere to park.

Girl’s retreat

For years, my girlfriends and I would rent out Casablanca Cottage for our annual moms’ get-away weekend. So when I was looking for the perfect place for a family trip back home I knew exactly who to call! The Casablanca Cottage is the perfect “home away from home”. It’s warm and inviting interior is cozy and has all the amenities you could ever want or need. We enjoyed drinking coffee on the large front porch in the morning while watching the world go by and the beautiful garden was great for family dinners and fun evenings playing cards under the stars. The location is perfect – just one block to town. Don is a wonderful host and thinks of everything. We definitely hope to be back soon. If you plan to stay in the Niagara area, Casablanca Cottage is a great place to be. We are missing it already.

Appreciated Casablanca Cottage

I just wanted to say how much we appreciated the cottage.
It was the first time we could gather all together, parents and children, since the pandemic almost 2 and half years ago…
Casablanca was the perfect place for us. I appreciated the Moroccan objects, especially the copper trays. They reminded me of my Egyptian childhood…

Many thanks for checking in and yes everything was in perfect order and indeed we hope you found it in satisfactory shape upon your return. The cottage is really comfy and well-equipped (though we never did find the kettle) and the Xmas tree and decorations were wonderful & much appreciated. It was even mild enough that first evening to enjoy a celebratory bourbon on the front porch. All the very best for the coming year – not a moment too soon to see 2020 in the rear-view mirror. Casablanca cottage was a pleasure to rent

From the moment we were in touch with Don until our departure, we thoroughly enjoyed our time. The cottage is well appointed and within easy walking distance of so much. Should you stay in warmer weather, I have no doubt the porch and garden area would be appreciated too. I heartily recommend staying here and already suggested it to our neighbours for the next time they’re in NOTL.

Just wanted to thank you for the wonderful stay in Casablanca Cottage!

We had a nice relaxing getaway after 8 months of staying at home. We used to travel all the time pre-Covid so it was nice to be able to get away again. Your place was beautiful and the decor made us feel like we were really somewhere exotic!  We hope to stay with you again in the future! In fact our little 2 year old said he wanted to live there!

Casablanca Cottage is a home away from home-perfect getaway.

Amazing location- lovely backyard garden/patio oasis-gorgeous front porch-perfect for people watching or reading a novel while sipping a glass of Niagara wine. The size of the cottage is very generous for 6 people lots of room and very homey. Nicely decorated-, it had everything you could possibly need. We did not want to leave. Next year we will book a longer stay.

The Casablanca cottage is beautifully furnished and tastefully decorated!

It has absolutely everything you need and was spotless. There was a lot of room inside and outside the cottage for all 5 of us. The veranda is absolutely charming and welcoming! It was lovely to watch the carriage’s pass by. The Cottage is cozy & warm and every thoughtful amenity provided, including a small library! . The bedrooms were spacious and beds comfortable! The location is superb and just minutes away from shops and restaurants in NOTL. We were close to biking, golfing and wineries. Such thoughtful details. I would definitely go back!

We fully enjoyed the warmth and comfort of Casablanca Cottage with all the amenities we needed.

The grounds are lovely, whether you want a quiet back yard or a porch with a view of the leafy streets and their lovely houses. It is very close to the main street with its shopping and a bakery with fresh baguettes for a morning treat. There are three upstairs bedrooms that sleep six and a pullout couch downstairs that could accommodate another two people.
No question, we would love to come back even with a group of up to eight people.

Can’t recommend it enough

Casablanca Cottage is a perfect vacation home in Niagara on the Lake. The location is amazing, as it’s only a five minute walk to the main downtown strip. The house is equipped with everything you could want on a vacation – our favourite part was the beautiful outdoor space complete with Muskoka Chairs on the front porch. The house is furnished in a wonderful Moroccan style, and sleeps six comfortably. The owners were friendly and accommodating and left a very helpful instruction booklet for reference. I can’t recommend this place enough!

Amazing stay at Marrakech Mansion

We just returned from a lovely girls weekend in NOTL. Our stay at Marrakech Mansion was everything we hoped for and more! The property it beautiful. The house is so well kept and the grounds are stunning. So peaceful sitting in the yard, surrounded by lush greenery and beautiful flowers. The house itself is decorated beautifully with so much space. The beds were comfortable, and the kitchen and bathrooms were all well equipped. And the location couldn’t be better. It’s close to downtown with lots of shops and restaurants near by. We look forward to visiting again!

Great Location

We truly enjoyed our stay at Marrakech Mansion in June 2019.  The house was wonderful, clean and we enjoyed both the outdoor & indoor spaces.  The location is perfect – around the corner from Queen’s Royal Park and Niagara-on-the-Lake Golf Club where we enjoyed breakfast in the mornings and views of the Niagara River & Lake Ontario.  Also a very short distance to Queen Street where you’ll find wonderful shops & restaurants, we walked everywhere and would definitely stay at Marrakech Mansion again.

We love Casablanca cottage! We have stayed multiple times and have had excellent experiences each time. We love the central location, within walking distance to everything. The decor is charming and the whole house is immaculately clean. Everything you need us supplied. We always feel right at home when we arrive. The yard is private – a perfect place for outside dining.  Extra bonus – the pullout sofa in the den is amazingly comfortable!

20 year reunion

Our group of ten ladies have visited Niagara-on-the-Lake to shop and enjoy a play for over 20 years. We love staying at Marrakech Mansion and had a wonderful weekend this year as always. The house is immaculately maintained and beautifully decorated. We love checking to see what’s new or changed in the house. The garden is spacious with plenty of choice of sitting areas. It’s hard to believe this quite neighbourhood is only one block from Queen Street. It’s an easy walk to shows, shops and restaurants. The owner, Don George, was always very helpful with any questions we had and we would definitely recommend Marrakech Mansion for anyone visiting Niagara on the Lake. Relaxing comfortable and enjoyable

Clean and comfortable

Your rental home was clean, comfortable, well decorated and it’s location was quiet, yet only a block from Queen Street.  The yard with its landscaping and outdoor dining areas was a plus for us.  We’d certainly rent it again for our next trip to Niagara on the Lake. We had very good dinners at Treadwell and Backhouse.  Pizza at Bistro Six One was very good too.  Angel Inn was a cool spot for beers.  Wines at Kew, Stratus, Reif, ICellars, and Big Head were all good.  Butter tarts at the Fruit Shack to die for and the morning croissants at Willow Cakes & Pastries.  Great.  Thanks again Don.

We have stayed annually for 12 years!

Casablanca Cottage:
Have been coming here for 12 years and plan to continue. Well stocked kitchen for cooking for a group, great al fresco dining with grill, and coffee on the front porch watching the occasional carriage go by makes for a delightful stay. The location, one block off Queen street makes for easy walk to both theatre venues and shopping.

A comfortable place to live

We found Casablanca Cottage a welcoming and comfortable place to live.  The large front porch with colourful Muskoka chairs gives you a place to perch with your morning coffee and watch the local dog walkers parade.  Inside the warm colours of the walls and the remarkable light fixtures over the dining and kitchen tables are conversation starters.  If you wish to read, there is a varied selection of books to choose from. And comfortable couches and chairs to curl up on.  The kitchen worked well for us.  A/C works well. Upstairs the three bedrooms have comfortable beds and windows which open to let in fresh air.  Our host has provided wifi which worked perfectly for all the people who used it. Plumbing functions well.

A Great Christmas

We stayed in Casablanca Cottage for 4 nights (2 families: 4 adults + 4 kids). The rooms are very well organized. Kitchen/dining/Bathrooms (3 of them) are all well functioning and very clean.

Morocco styled furniture/decorations set the tone of the residence.
The “secret” cozy reading room gives me a very quality meditation time, peaceful!

Regular living room/family room are roomy and warm as well! Location is perfect if you like downtown feeling of a small town. Grocery/window shopping/Coffee/Dinning restaurants/Winery outlet are all nearby in walking distance.

Although it’s downtown area, but it’s a small town, so it’s quiet and I can’t hear too many road noises if there are any at all…

Cozy. Relaxed. Peaceful.

This perfectly describes what the Marrakech Mansion and Casablanca cottage have offered to my girlfriends and my family.  Whether it is a girl’s getaway or a family reunion, I keep coming back to Don’s homes every year.  It is the perfect setting in an old British town full or superb restaurants, unique shops and luxurious spas.  So close to the main street – Queen St. – you can’t ask for more.  Sitting by the fire with a glass of Niagara wine and great conversations, the homes have gorgeous décor, fully stocked kitchens and comfortable beds. It really is a wonderful experience like a home away from home.  For me, staying at the Marrakech and the Casablanca is an escape from reality.  Don is right!  He told me, “Once you stay at the Marrakech or the Casablanca, you won’t go anywhere else.”  And that is why I keep coming back.  My friends who just came back from the weekend at the Casablanca said, “We need to come back and bring our husbands.”  We are already planning it.

A Second Home?

We have been staying at the Casablanca Cottage for approximately 10 years.  We stay at the cottage along with two other couples.  We love that it has everything we need, nice kitchen and dining area, living room and den and three bedrooms.  The best part is the porch, we all love sitting on the porch in the evening with a glass of wine from one of the great wineries in the area.  The cottage is only one block off the main street so we can park our cars and walk to the theatre and restaurants.

It’s Not Texas!

Our family has come from Texas for many years to stay at either the Casablanca Cottage  or Marrakech Mansion  properties operated by Don George of Cottage Inns of Niagara. Our experience over more than 10 rentals has been uniformly good. Both properties are well maintained and well appointed with everything needed to function as if you were at home. Both are well located and convenient to shops and restaurants in Niagara on the Lake. Our favourite aspect of each property is the gardens which are furnished with outdoor furniture which encourages outside activity and dining. Especially pleasant is the front porch of the Casablanca Cottage. We recommend these properties to all of our friends and in fact we are bringing two housefuls of them to visit in July 2018.
